It is finished – Kung fu Primate

She is done! I think...

A bike is never finished. Next will be some 2.4 Ardents.

Please enjoy these photographs.

That would be 14 pieces of gold when counting the headset as three. I still need a seat post clamp and gold candies..

A whimpy 3rd

Four races down in the short track series and I have yet to do a race report. So, ill do all four in one!

The first four races were great.

One more race to go this sunday... so sad its almost over. But just around the conner is the coolest race to ever come to charlotte, put on by the queen city's own, Faster Mustache! Can't wait for march 9th to roll around and race the Tour de Charlotte. Not sure if im more excited to see 100+ people in a huge group taking up a full lane through charlotte traffic or racing 5-6 different unique stages, but it should all in all be a helluva lot of fun. If you have a bike, at least do the ride. If you have a mountain bike, race. I wouldn't miss this thing if I were anyone of my 3 followers.

But more on the short track. So far I've placed, 6th, 8th, 3rd and 5th. And as odd as it sounds, Im in 3rd overall. Thats what happens when either people don't show up for a race, or someone hacks the system. >=)))

But no. I'd be getting like 10th overall if more of these guys actually showed up to race. But please fast guys, stay home. Im going to enjoy this trophy =D I wouldn't be close to 3rd if the the guy in 2nd didn't break a chain and DNF. Guess thats what happens when you're just too damn strong. Benefits of being almost fast I guess. All placing aside though, I just love the competition, would of had just as much fun if I finished in the back.

So I just hope nothing goes terribly wrong sunday, and I should have 3rd overall in lockdown.

Also raced the monkey for her first time sunday, OUCHHH that hurt. Its friday and I'm still inflamed from the single speed race. But it was fun, raced in pink short for the hell of it, heard plenty of people yell go pink shorts!! I should do that more often.

I about hit this photographer...

MoarMonkey

Finishing it up today, wont be able to ride her till sunday  :(

Came out to 24 pounds. But I couldn't set these tires up tubeless for the life of me. Ill just wait till i get some new Contis.

For now, enjoy more pics. I had ordered some gold Jagwire housing, but it absolutely sucked, wich is unusual for jagwire. But I could barely pull the cable through it was absolute crap. Waiting for response back from them.

But I still had more gold,

All the hardware for my "free brakes" came in. The calipers were free, but still had to find rotors, adaptors, pads, and the bolt hardware...

Chain line seems straight! As you can see I had to scrounge for random spacers..

Tugly Nut/bottle opener.

Ders ma baby

Untill sunday...

I should probably be doing Hw not this

As sick as I was over this years pathetic holliday, I took more than a few hours to study up on a "certain brand" of which a "certain store" that I "might work at" started to carry. I used a resource called 3point5. (This is an online training website for outdoor products. The incentive is to learn about their products, so you can sell them better, and receive an extreem discount after they test your knowledge as an employee.) So I took to the task and filled my brain with useless bike technology terms, like Energy Transfer Seat Stays, Torrential stiffness weight reduction, Asymmetric/Differential chain stay, D6 High modulus carbon. Interesting stuff really. I became the websites top performer.

All this means is I waisted 2 hours taking the test over and over again until I had the fastest completed time. But at least if someone ask me which bike has the most travel for all mountain riding, I don't just have to say, we don't sell bikes that awesome, but I can name the specific bike we don't have for them, and then sugest a bike with less travel..

To say the least, This really built up my confidence in this "certain brand" of bikes, until this morning on fb...

Im going to pretend I didn't see that. And continue not buying carbon.

In Fact, that leads me to my next thingy. Steel. Awaiting for one of these to come in. =DDD

Kung Fu Primate

First single speed 29er. Building on a "budget". Karate Monkey FTW! More to come when that comes.

Also, I have been racing the short track. Its terribly not fun as always. I love it.
